Hey, I am William Tongate and my passion is restoring clarinets and oboes to their original beauty.
I worked in the repair shop at Paige's music for 29 years and apprenticed in clarinet and oboe repair. My main responsibility at Paige's was mechanically overhauling clarinets and oboes. I still play saxophone, flute and clarinet in a couple of bands in Indianapolis.
After moving to Canton, Ohio I opened my own repair shop specializing in clarinet and oboe repair, mechanical overhauls as well as playing conditions. I do repairs for several instrument repair shops as well as individuals. I buy and sell quality used clarinets and oboes that have been overhauled by me.
